IJP production trainee lands job at CleanBreak
A testimony to the success of the IJP Production Training Scheme in providing valuable confidence and transition-to-work experience, next week Verity La Roche, a previous production trainee, starts work with women offenders’ theatre company, Clean Break. Verity will be working as an administrative assistant for the organisation and will be continuing with the NVQ in Advice and Guidance that she commenced as part of her work with the freeasabird project, developed by IJP.
"I'm really excited about working with the drama and women offenders; putting skills towards something meaningful. The media course I did at Downview prison got me used to working in an all-women environment and at IJP I got used to being part of a team. I hope I can apply my media skills to the job in the future."IJP’s production training scheme works to provide offenders with the final vital step of work experience and training prior to release, helping to support the difficult transition as they near the end of their sentence and begin to rebuild their lives.
